Quick Start Guide
New members are very welcome here at RoundersParadise. Please read this short guide - it should help you get the most from the site.
First, be sure to fill in your details when you register. Put your City name under Location, and the screen names of your poker accounts. This will ensure that transfers are completed smoothly.
New members have a better chance of being staked at the lowest limits. Once you have run five or more stakes at these levels, potential backers will be able to see your results, and can decide to stake you for higher amounts.
When you are chosen to run a stake, you will receive a private message telling you so. The stake will then be sent to your poker account, and a thread with the stake number will be opened in the Forum under the Official Stakes section.
You will be expected to post some hand histories from your game into this thread. Usually, you should post your first hand, last hand, any 'big' hands, and your finishing position in there.
When your game is over, calculate the amount of any winnings that you must return to the staker according to the terms of the stake and ship them, then go back to the original private message and click on 'close' - the staker will then be able to close the stake and your Horse Rankings will be updated.
If you have any questions you can go to the chat room where you are sure to find someone who can help. And you can tell your staker when you are running their stake so that they can watch you play.
But don't ask for a stake, in the chat room or by private message; that's a quick way to get yourself banned!

Small Bankroll Strategy
Small Bankroll Strategy by DontLookWell I have a little technique I have been using to turn small amounts of poker cash into a few hundred dollars with literally just a couple hours a day of the course on 3-4 days. I have done this multiple times so I figured now would be a good time to share this info with everyone here at Rounders Paradise.
If my bankroll consists of $10, I will sit down at a .10/.25 NL table. If my bankroll is $20, I will run two tables of .10/.25 NL poker. The idea here is to diversify your bankroll. You want to get at the point of running 3 tables of .10/.25 NL poker sitting down at each .......

Tired of Tournaments?
by Tripps - As I've mentioned many times before, I play a lot of tournaments. I have noticed a trend recently on the online sites. The sit-and-go tournaments are tightening up.
The level of play seems to be moving in one direction - up. Players are reading, learning, practicing for free, reading some more, and employing all sorts of technological do-dads to track and monitor every conceivable factor in a tournament.
What this adds up to is an environment requiring pitch-perfect decision making throughout a tournament in order to even have a shot. Pre-flop hand selection becomes a simple mathematical formula.
Weak players are spotted quickly and taken out just as quickly. The strongest players lie in wait until the structure of the game takes over and again ...

If you're like most recreational Texas Holdem poker players, the main reason you come to the casino (or log on to the online poker room) is to have fun.
You want to spend a few hours playing a game you enjoy, and if you can make a few bucks doing it, all the better. The last thing you want is to deal with someone rude at your table. Unfortunately, poker, as great a game as it is, attracts all types, and sooner or later,..

Court: No Deal for legal poker
RALEIGH --Poker is mostly a game of chance -- not skill -- making it illegal to bet items of value when playing the card game in North Carolina, the state Court of Appeals said Tuesday.
In a unanimous ruling, the three-judge panel agreed that a skilled player can tip the odds in his favor but said the player "is always subject to defeat at...
